Life can give you surprises...yes!! And this time, you can call me cheesssyyy...up to you hehehe, but for me this is one of the best moment of my life. I got a phone call from my good friend (Anti)'s sister, Diva....and she asked if me or my mom or sister were still making apple pies or not. I said yes. And then she said, since Stevie Wonder is coming to town to perform in JavaJazzFestival2012, he asked for some homemade apple pies...for his snack backstage. I mean...OH MY GOD! I know that it's probably a small thing for him...or for all of you who thinks i'm crazy hahahaha....but for me it's WOW! So yes, there it is....we made two apple pies with love love love for Mr. Stevie Wonder! This time, my mama made them, because she was very excited when I told the news hihihihi...so I helped her. I knew it's probably HARD for me to meet him face to face yesterday....I just pray and hope he'll like the apple pies! :)
And yes it was one of the best night of my life, thanks JavaJazzFestival2012 and Mr. Stevie Wonder-ful! He sang with all his heart :) He was very friendly, funny and his energy was contagius!
I was dancing all night long to "Sir Duke", "As", "Do I Do"...all of his songs...you name it! Stevie Wonder also covered Micheal Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel", Marvin Gaye's "How Sweet It Is To Be Love By You" and Whitney Houston's "I'm Every Woman"....it was awesome! And yes, call me cheessssyyy again, up to you....but I actually shed some tears when he sang "Overjoyed"...goosebumps!!! And of course to "You & I (We Can Conquer the World)"...and one of my fave song of all time "My Cherie Amour". I was hoping to hear "Isn't She Lovely" and "Signed Sealed Delivered"...but oh well :) Overall it was one of the best show I've ever seen!! And it was really nice to see all the people dancing together to his songs. The way he communicate with the audience was very lovely. Love his quote too "It doesn't matter what religion are you believing, it's the relationship that matters, love that matters..." :)
Glad somebody was able to record this wonderfully funny father-daughter moment and share it on youtube...thank you whoever you are :)
This lyric from Sir Duke was true: "Music is a world within itself, with a language we all understand, with an equal opportunity, for all to sing, dance and clap their hands".
I was Overjoyed! Thank you Stevie...you are won..der...ful!
