I've been reading about CountMeIn from The Jakarta Globe. It's a really nice way to connects people who's looking for volunteer opportunities in Indonesia. They have stories and lists of places where you can help and volunteer too. So I thought, hey...maybe I could share my story to them since I've been volunteering for a couple of times this year for a couple of non-profits organization. And maybe I can help my friend's organization (that I've been volunteering with) to be on the list on CountMeIn website.
Then I met Zack & Olga from CountMeIn. We talked about it and they said okay. They really helped me with my writing. It's my first time writing outside my blog and it's a totally different way to share your story hehehe. I've learned a lot form them.
It's funny to see you own writing on a newspaper...hahaha you can call me cheesy, it's okay. But hey, there's always a first time for everything right? It's on The Jakarta Globe newspaper yesterday :) It's available to read online too on The Jakarta Globe, click here for the link.
So check CountMeIn website and follow CountMeInID twitter if you want to volunteer...because giving back never felt so good :)

Got this recipe from "Recipes" magazine. We're in the mood for cooking this weekend :)
All you need:
4 butter croissants
20gr butter
100gr dark chocolate pieces
4 eggs
2tsp vanilla essence
1/4 cup caster sugar
300ml thickened cream
1/2 cup milk
3/4 raspberries
icing sugar to dust
How to make:
1. Preheat ove to 180C. Grease a 20cm, 4cm deep square ovenproof dish. Cut croissan horizontally in half. Spread bases with butter, top 16 pieces of the chocolate (4 pieces each). Replace croissant tops, cut each croissant sandwich in half crosswise. Transfer to prepared dish in a single layer.

3. Sprinkle top with frozen raspberries. Break remaining chocolate pieces in half. Sprinkle on top. Bake for 35 minutes, cover with foil. Bake for 10 minutes more or until set at centre. Stand in dish for 5 minutes. Dust with icing sugar.
You can eat this with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream too :)
Got it from Martha Stewart's website. I'll copy paste it for you :)
Ingredients:
2 medium beets
1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
Directions:
Preheat oven to 200Cdegrees, with racks in upper and lower thirds. Peel beets and slice 1/16 inch thick
with a mandoline. I don't have mandoline, we peeled it thinly. In a large bowl, toss beets with extra-virgin olive oil.
On two rimmed baking sheets (or use one sheet and bake in two
batches), arrange beets in a single layer. Stack another rimmed baking
sheet on top of each. Bake until edges of beets begin to dry out, about
20 minutes. Uncover and rotate sheets. Bake 10 to 20 minutes, removing
chips as they become lightened in color. Transfer to a wire rack; chips
will crisp up as they cool. Add a bit salt if you want too...
As for the dip sauce, just mix plain yoghurt and curry powder.
Inspired by Delifrance's salad...this is nyummy! All you need:
Apples (apel malang is better then apel fuji...for me), oranges, salads. And as for the dressing, just mix sesame oil, soy sauce and ginger. Go try it! :)
Happy to have a reunion with my old ballerina friends, my seniors and my teacher Farida Oetoyo. Can't wait to start my ballet class again with her...hehehe :)
Semangat Pak Suyadi masih besar.
Unyil dulu.
Selama ngobrol dengan Pak Suyadi, 3 kucing pun ikut nimbrung. Pak Suyadi sepertinya sangat menyayangi kucing2nya :)
My good friend made a charity event, ACT, Charity Event by Kopi Keliling. I got invited to participate...by making some artwork. Here are some pics from last night's opening, with some of my favorites artwork...not all of them though...because it was too crowded last night. I want to go there again for sure...to take more pics :)
This is mine :)
It's still on till 12th August 2012 at One Fiftheenth Coffee. Go check it out, spread the love and join the charity :)
