Everyone is Special :)

The way I sell my new simple totebag "Everyone is Special" it's a bit different from my other totebag. I want to sell the totebag with one "boneka" in it for Rp.80.000,- ..But you cannot choose which "boneka"...coz I want it to be a surprise for you.

It's just a simple reminder that..."Everyone is Special". Don't judge a book by it's cover...no matter what culture, religion or believe you're into it...no matter if you're a doctor, artist, dancer, lawyer, etc...no matter if you have kids or not, married or not, straight or gay, etc...no matter if you're gifted, normal or you have special needs...no matter what...just be friends with everybody!

"Everyone is Special" :)

But if you want to buy it separately, it's up to you :)

For the totebag Rp.70.000,- and for the boneka Rp.15.000,-

Either way, for delivery + Rp.10.000,-

You can grab the totebag and boneka while checking on my booth at One SunDay Flea Market, this Sunday 30.10.11 from 9am-9pm.

Children and Established Artists Draw Autism

Autism is one of the greatest modern mysteries of cognitive science, a highly faceted condition that remains largely misunderstood. We’ve previously explored several notable autistic outliers — British savant Stephen Wiltshire, who draws remarkable 3D panoramas of cities from memory; animal scientist Temple Grandin, who is equally well-known for her innovations in livestock herding and her autism advocacy; and autistic savant Daniel Tammet, who was able to learn Icelandic in a week, among other remarkable feats of memory. But what is the actual experience of living with autism in a deep felt sense, beyond the social stereotypes and headline-worthy superskills?

Drawing Autism, a celebration of the artistry and self-expression found in artwork by people diagnosed with autism, explores just that.
The stunning volume, with an introduction by Grandin herself, features works by more 50 international contributors, from children to established artists, that illustrate the rich multiplicity of the condition — which we hesitate to call a “disorder” as we subscribe to the different, not lesser view of autism — and the subjective experience of each autistic individual. Thanks to Will of 50 Watts for the wonderful images.

A Sky Full of Kindness

"Rob Ryan's new book, captures this delicate analog magic through a narrative crafted entirely out of cut-paper illustrations that whisper to you pithy, poetic words to make your heart smile. It tells the story of a few adventurous birds, but it’s really a story about love, overcoming fear, and being human." -Maria Popova from brainpickings

Simple healthy weekend :)

Homemade Dory Fish Schnitzel with boiled potato spinach and a dip of tartare sauce :)

All you need:
Dory Fish
Potatoes
Spinachs
Eggs
Breadcrumbs
Flour
Pickles
Lemons
Mayonaise

- For the fish, place crumbs and flour on separate plates. Using a fork, whisk egg in a shallow dish. Dip 1 fish fillet in flour, shaking off excess. Dip in egg. Coat in crumbs. Place on a large tray or plate. Repeat with remaining fish fillets, flour, egg and crumbs. Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook fish, in batches, for 1 minute 30 seconds each side or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel to drain
- For the tartare sauce, just mix mayonaise, drops of lemons and chopped pickles.
- And the for the potatoes and spinachs, I just boiled it.

For the strawberry juice, all you need...fresh strawberries, mint leaves and sugar. Just mix everything with water too. Just try it out before you serve, to make sure it's not too sweet or not sweet enough. I know, the color turned out to be a bit purple-ish :)

Enjoy! :)

Spike Jonze’s Handmade Stop-Motion Love Story for Bibliophiles

Mourir Auprès de Toi (To Die By Your Side) from Veronica Christina on Vimeo.

"You just start with what the feeling is. For this one the feeling definitely started with the handmade aesthetic and charm of Olympia’s work. Instantly I had the idea of doing it in a bookstore after-hours, imagining the lights coming down and these guys off their books. Me and Olympia both wanted to make a love story, and it was fun to do it with these characters. It evolved naturally and it all just started with the feeling. From there you entertain yourself with ideas that excite you.” -Spike Jonze

Alison Gopnik: What do babies think?

"Babies and young children are like the R&D division of the human species," says psychologist Alison Gopnik. Her research explores the sophisticated intelligence-gathering and decision-making that babies are really doing when they play.
