Danny & Annie

Thank's to Echa and her blog Et voila, who found this simple yet beautiful movie :)
Ps: yes cha...my eyes gets teary :)

Danny Perasa and his wife, Annie, came to StoryCorps to recount their twenty-seven-year romance. As they remember their life together from their first date to Danny’s final days with terminal cancer, these remarkable Brooklynites personify the eloquence, grace, and poetry that can be found in the voices of everyday people when we take the time to listen.

i love words (3) :)

"Recognizing and respecting differences in others, and treating everyone like you want them to treat you, will help make our world a better place for everyone. Care... be your best. You don't have to be handicapped to be different. Everyone is different!"
Kimputer, Kim Peek, inspiration for Rain Main.

"It needs to be understood that dyslexia is a "learning difference"; just as we all look different, we think and learn differently, too."
- Stacey Poulos -

"Nobody's good in everything. Advantages and disadvantages come in many forms."
- Charles Schwab -

"Autism itself is not the enemy... the barriers to development that are included with autism are the enemy. The retardation that springs from a lack of development is the enemy. The sensory problems that are often themselves the barriers are the enemy. These things are not part of who the child is... they are barriers to who the child is meant to be, according to the developmental blueprint. Work with the child's strengths to overcome the weaknesses, and work within the autism, not against it, to overcome the developmental barriers."
- Frank Klein, autistic -

"All kids are gifted. Some just open their packages earlier than others."
- Michael Carr-

"We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today."
-Stacia Tauscher-

"While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about."
-Angela Schwindt-

"You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance."
- Franklin P. Jones-

"Too often we give our children answers to remember rather than problems to solve."
-Roger Lewin-

"Kids: they dance before they learn there is anything that isn't music."
-William Stafford-

"A child seldom needs a good talking to as a good listening to."
-Robert Brault-

"There are no seven wonders of the world in the eyes of a child. There are seven million."
-Walt Streightiff-

These words never fails me :)

Have a happy cuppycake day my honeybunch :)

"You're my honeybunch, sugarplum pumpy-umpy-umpkin, you're my sweetie pie...
You're my cuppycake, gumdrop snoogums-boogums, you're the apple of my eye...
And I love you so and I want you to know that I'll always be right here...
And I love to sing sweet songs to you because you are so dear..."

"cuppycake" or "you're my honeybunch"
(two tittles, lyrics and music by Judianna and Buddy Castle)

Enjoy the ride to Semarang :)

I just had a quick getaway for the weekend to Semarang. I took the train to go there, it took me 6 hours, with beautiful and interesting views. Here are some of the pics I took.

Some of the view from the train, green rice fields :)

Here are some of the pics from Semarang, Kota Lama Semarang. Old town of Semarang.

Here's some temple from Kawasan Pecinan or the Chinatown.

We took a ride in the city with becak :) A traditional public transportation.

And then we went to Ungaran, to see Candi Gedong Songo, this is one of them.

This is the place where we're staying in Semarang, a village called Gondorio. It's so nice to stay over there, because I just love the feel of natural surrounding. I love to spend times just to walk around the rice fields and sits on the bench just to enjoy the view and chit chat :)

And this is one of my favorite food (or u can say it's a snack) from Semarang, Lumpia Semarang (or spring roll).

I still have more pics here on my facebook if you want to see more :)
