Exhibition: Majalah Cobra & The Secret Agents

An exhibiton for the release of "Majalah Cobra".

by Anggun Priambodo

Majalah Cobra by Anggun and Bin :)
Majalah it's "magazine" in Indonesian. "Majalah Cobra" itself, it's a magazine that looks like a cd. It has stories about movie, music, art and everything that's related to those things. The package itself it's very unique, like I've said before, it looks like a cd. You'll get to read a magazine (they folded it like a cd cover), a cd single by Teenage Death Star and some stickers. They're making T-shirts too, I forgot to take a picture of it. I'll show you later...it's awesome, you'll see :)

You put on some music and the cobra will dance :p

They're all nice :D

And as for The Secret Agents, pictures by Ameng and Keke :)

They put all their pics on the wall, and we can guess what or where it was taken. I love all their pictures. Secret places :)

The exhibition is still on....till 16th July 2011. At LinggarSeni, Kemang Timur 36.
Go see it :)

DIY mask

I always love masks :)

- Get some used cardboard boxes. Then you can draw on it, design any kind of shape for mask.
- Then cut it with scissors or cutter knife (we have to help the kids to cut the masks).
- You can paint straight on the cardboard or you can use paper towel with a mixture of water glue first for the base (let it dry first, then you can paint on it).
- And then you put the stick on the side with glue or sellotape.

The girls loveeee to put some beads on it :)

Or you can make it like this:

- Get some carton. Then you can draw on it, design any kind of shape for mask.
- Then cut it with scissors or cutter knife (we have to help the kids to cut the masks).
- You can cut some small shapes and paste it to the mask with glue.
- And then you make a hole on the side of the mask with a punch holer, than you tied with a rubber band or a ribbon.

Go try it! I'm going to make more for sure...it's fun! :)

Sweet Potato with lemongrass creme fraiche

This recipe is from Yotam Ottolenghi's recipe book. I've been looking for this recipe book and last month I bought it from Aksara Kemang Bookstore :)

All you need:

3 medium sweet potatoes (900g)
4 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tsp ground coriander
3/4 tsp fine sea salt
15g coriander, leaves picked (this one it's up to you)

For the dipping sauce:

1/2 lemongrass stalk
200g creme fraiche
Grated zest and juices of 2 limes
50g fresh root ginger, peeled and grated
(if you don't like ginger, put less than 50g, as for me, i love ginger :p)
1/2 tsp fine sea salt

How to make:

Preheat the oven to 200C. Wash the sweet potatoes, up to you if you want to peel them or not. Cut each lenghtways into long wedges. Place them in a roasting tin, brushed light with some of the olive oil. Brush the wedges with the remaining oil and sprinkle witha  mixture of ground coriander and salt.

Roast about 25 minutes or until the sweet potato is tender and golden brown.

While you're waiting, make the sauce. Very finely chop the lemongrass. Whisk with all of the other ingredients for the dipping sauce.

And here it is....nyummy nyummy!!

Try it, it's easy! :)
