Flora and the Flamingo ♥

I collect children books and got this one last weekend. I'm in love with this book...heartwarming :)

Molly Idle used to be an artist working for DreamWorks Feature Animation and from there she leapt into the world of children’s books :)

"In this innovative wordless book, a tentative partnership blooms into an unlikely friendship between a girl named Flora and a gracefull Flamingo. With a twist, a turn and a flop, this unlikely friends learn at last how to dance together in a perfect harmony."

S.E.A Aquarium

This is the world's largest aquarium they said. It's S.E.A Aquarium at Sentosa, Singapore. You should bring your kids here too...it's amazing...

My favorite part is the jellyfish! They're amazingly beautiful...i feel like swimming and playing with them.  The small ones are also cute!

Look! It's Dory and Nemo :)

Prepare yourself to go inside the magical marine world seen through the world's largest aquarium, with more than 800 species of marine animals. More pics here.

Nyummy for the tummy :)

Yes, everytime I go to Singapore...just like my friend Echa said "so little time, so many food.." hahaha :D Indeed! So when I was there last weekend, forget about my veggie weekdays, I'm on vacation. So this is what I had...and tried...with "my so little time" hahahaha...

Subway is a must for me, the chocolate chip cookie, doritos and turkey sandwich with green salad, pickels and sweet onion :)

Hawkers street food never fails me either, went to Mustafa and had some veggie curry with Naan from MahaRaj  :)

Then had some Hainan Rice with a bit of roasted chicken, pork and duck from Food Republic. Not bad at all...I always love Singaporean Hainan Rice anyway :)

Craving for some good egg benedict for breakfast?...try Wild Honey. They have 2 places, one at Scotts Road and the other one at Mandarin Gallery. I ordered Portobello egg benedict with spinach and european egg benedict with prociutto. It was nyummy, higly recommended! I love the bread too. They also have nice juices. It's a nice small secluded place, you can read there too while having your food...

Food For Thought has always been one of my fave restaurants in Singapore, this time I tried the one at Singapore Botanical Garden. I tried Roasted beetroots with spiced walnuts and yoghurt...love it!

Then I tried Tampopo Japanese Restaurant. It's at B2-33 Takashimaya Shoping Centre.  I had Shabu Ramen, which is very nyummy and Cheese layered pork katsu, delish! They said it's the best Ramen in Singapore..

Then....I tried this nyummy chocolate croisssant and chocolate palmier from Choco Cro at Saint Marc Cafe. It's at Vivo City. The way the chocolate melted on your mouth...nyummy!!! :) I forgot to take pictures, I finished it straight away, so it's only the plastic bag haha. So I took some pic from the internet...

If you love cakes, maybe you can try Gastronomia at Orchard Paragon. We tried Nutella Cake and White Chocolate Crumble. Although for me, both are too sweet coz I'm not into cakes that much...but it's still nice. I like the white chocolate better :)

Then we went to Choupinette Cafe. A nice small cafe along Upper Bukit Timah, next to German Market Place. Provides French pastries and dining menu. French pastries never fails me. I bought some croissants and spinach quiche...

Now go and have a try :))

Gardens by the Bay

Went to Singapore last weekend with my family, got a chance to see Gardens by the Bay. It's a huge place and there are lots of things you can see there, you should bring your kids there.

My favorite is Cloud Forest. You'll see a beautiful waterfall, a 35metre tall mountain covered in lush beautiful plants and flowers that lives on a high tropical mountain. You'll feel the breezy air like you're walking on a mountain too...

Cloud forest is amazing, it's like you have this vision on what we'll have in the future.

You'll learn about unique biodiversity and geology of cloud forests too and the environmental threats they face within the nine unique zones in this cool moist Conservatory.

And you can also check the Flower Dome. The Flower Dome replicates the cool dry climate of flowers and plants from Mediterranean regions like South Africa, California and parts of Spain and Italy. Home to a collection of plants from deserts all over the world.

My favorite part is Cactus. There are cute small ones...but the big ones....is a bit scary hahaha!

There's a spot with lots of beautiful and colorfull flowers....it has roses in it too.

You will see lots of Baobab Tree, also my favorite! Other common names include 'boab', 'boaboa', 'bottle tree', 'the tree of life'. They used to live in Madagascar, mainland Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, some in India and Australia.
