TEDxJakarta2011

Amazing event, free knowledge, sharing is caring...need to say more? :)

Overall it was a great event and all the speakers were very inspiring. But my favorite part from TEDxJakarta 2011:

Siti Musdah Mulia, she's active in Indonesian Conference on Religion for Peace. She believes that that the essence of religion is love and to appreciate people of different beliefs.

Didik Nini Thowok, a cross gender dancer. "If we believe in compassion, age and gender will no longer matter" he said...

A brave talk from Dhira Narayana about the forgotten benefits of weeds.

Derek Siver's quote "Market norms destroy social norms."

Zaini Alif, he's a traditional games expert. He blew me away with his center for traditional games (pusat kajian mainan rakyat) called Komunitas Hong. Zaini said traditional games teach children about life values, hardwork and sense of belonging. And traditional games taught wisdom, the importance of nature, & the essence of the game as part of educational. Had a chance to chat with him, very inspiring.
You can see this video about his work:

Pak Raden, he's a storyteller legend. He made Unyil, a TV show for kids when I was still little. He's one of the character in it too. His classic storytelling style, he tell the story with humor and drawing too. And yaiiiyyy I had a chance to chat with Pak Raden :)

Pak Raden and me :)

Can't wait for next year!
