Why do Yoga?




I've been practicing yoga for quite some time. At least 1 or 2 days in each week. Some people ask me, why? For me...yoga makes me feel better. Practicing the postures, breathing and meditation makes you feel good, body, mind and soul. More lighter, calmer, stronger, flexible and more happier. I think, through yoga, it helps us to manage our body posture. We learn about awareness, we learn to have a better way to manage our emotions and reactions, for what we've been dealing with in every day life. Oh and it builds healthier eating habits too (at least for me).

I know that nothing is perfect in this life and I hope you realize that too. And yoga is not going to take away all of the suffering in life. But my yogi teacher, teaches me how to embrace the good and the bad in our life. Even for the yoga poses too. The learning is endless, even in life too :)

Last June I had my certificate for Kids Yoga instructor. I've been wanting to teach yoga for kids for quite some time. I think Yoga with children offers many possibilities to exchange stories, wisdom and share good times. We can teach them how to to manage their emotions and reactions that they've been dealing with in every day life too. It's good for their concentration, balance (body, mind & soul), breathing awareness, build self confidence and also happiness. Please do understand that yoga for kids is kinda different from adults. So this is just me...who's been practicing yoga. If you don't like yoga, it's okay too. But you'll  never know if you don't try it right? :)
