Hari Kelas Inspirasi :)

Early in the morning, 6am...already prepared with all the gear for our Kelas Inspirasi day. We could not wait to meet up with all the kids from SDN Rawa Badak Utara 17 Pagi. I was with a team of 12 people there. It was me, Ai, Arrenda, Tina, Mba Dessy, Mas Dono, Sri, Imel, Cindy, Mas Indra, Mas Edwin & Mas Rostam. I was so happy to be teamed up with such a really wonderful people, some of them were Credit Analysis, Event Organizer, German language teacher, Photographer and so on. Yes we came from a variety of professions. I believe that any profession that is not blinded by the label and with good cause, will produce good results of cooperation as well, especially for kids too.

Before we started our classes, we met the teachers from that school first. They're all very nice. And after that, the school were having a welcoming ceremony for us, with drumbands too. It was cute to see that, because I used to be in that spot too when I was little (we used to have a ceremony every monday morning in our school) :)

We were divided into 6 teams, 1 team with 2 person and I was with Ai. Basicly, we got a chance to explain and share about our professions. I introduced myself as an art & craft teacher and a kids yoga teacher, and Ai introduced herself as an event organizer. And we asked the kids what they wanted to be when they grow up. The main thing here, we had to encourage them...to reach for the sky, work for it and dream, don't be afraid to fail. You have to try and try to achieve your goals, because wishes do come true.

And here are my other team-mates pictures...

We went from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th till 6th grade. The excitement and expressions from the kids were all worth it. The spirit and joy from the children, that actually inspire us to do more for them too :)

Some of the kids goals from 6th grade :)

Like Bapak Anies Baswedan said, "If you come with an open heart and they will accept you with an open heart too. The effect with the presence of an open heart relationship is amazing." I think that's true...as for the relationship between volunteers...and the relationship between volunteers and the school...and of course the kids too. And for every aspect in our life I guess. So, what do I think about this journey? words cannot describe it,...surrounded by positive people and kids...yes i'm blessed :)

To all the teachers out there...we salute you!

It was such a delightful experience to meet all of those wonderful and honest people who wholeheartedly giving their best efforts to inspire the children. And I think we all can do these activities for other school & kids! Let's do it, little things do count! :)
