Le Pichet is one of the best french food & wine bar in Seattle. I miss hanging out at Le Pichet just sitting outside having conversation with friends, wine, cheese and bread...or just having coffee with book. Le Pichet is located in the heart of downtown Seattle.

Love Is a Mix Tape: Life and Loss, One Song at a Time by Rob Sheffield
This is one of my favorite book :)
"For me, if we're talking about romance, cassettes wipe the floor with MP3s. This has nothing to do with superstition, or nostalgia. MP3s buzz straight to your brain. That's part of what I love about them. But the rhythm of the mix tape is the rhythm of romance, the analog hum of a physical connection between two sloppy human bodies. The cassette is full of tape hiss and room tone; it's full of wasted space, unnecessary noise. Compared to the go-go-go rhythm of an MP3, mix tapes are hopelessly inefficient. You go back to a cassette the way a detective sits and pours drinks for the elderly motel clerk who tells stories about the old days--you know you might be somewhat bored, but there might be a clue in there somewhere. And if there isn't, what the hell? It's not a bad time. You know you will waste time. You plan on it."
"When we die, we will turn into songs, and we will hear each other and remember each other."
"There are all kinds of mix tapes. there is always a reason to make one."
"I had no voice to talk with because she was my whole language."
"Every mix tape tells a story. Put them together and they add up to the story of the life."
"Love dies in many different ways, and it's natural for the grass to seem greener on the other side. But it's not a competition; there's plenty of pain to go around."
"What is love? Love is a battlefield. Love can be stinks. Love hurts. Love bites, love bleeds, love is the drug. The troubadours of our times all agree. They want to know what love is and they want you to show them. But the answer is simple. Love is a mix tape."

Umbrella sisters
I took this pic when it was a bit raining at Jatipadang...di pinggir jalan. They're both cousins, Padma and Qisha. Mereka insist untuk pake payung besar berdua hehe. It's just me or everybody, i don't know...but it amazes me how simple things kids do can brighten up any kind of day :)
Listen to my feelings (from kids) by Ruth Reardon
LET ME BE MYSELF...
Grow according to my own uniqueness..
My personality, my talents are not the same as cousin Joe's...
He knows the alphabet...well, so what!
He also spits at me if I beat him in race...
Comparing us will make us feel as though we're being measured...and we'd better "measure up!"
Let me be "me" and he be "he"...then happier we all shall be...
HOW DO YOU FEEL?...
When you're talking and someone keeps interrupting?...
When you're being talked about, as though you were not there?...
How do you feel when you're ignored, or laughed at when you speak?...
Or when people say "just go away...we"re busy"...
Don't you feel you're not respected...that you do not really count?
Or don't those things happen to grown ups?
Only little ones?...
IF I'M TO GROW...
I cannot always say "yes"...
I have to try out "no"...
wether I mean it or not...to see if I can differ, just a bit, from you..
and still feel sure you love me...
My "no" is not just naughtiness...it's growth...
Grow according to my own uniqueness..
My personality, my talents are not the same as cousin Joe's...
He knows the alphabet...well, so what!
He also spits at me if I beat him in race...

How To...SMILE ☺ by Yoko Ono
I told you to smile when you are feeling down. However, there are steps you should know.
First you go to the mirror and smile to the mirror in anyway you can. You probably will not feel any different. Smile a few times that way.
If that is not enough, smile a few times every morning when you see the mirror. That won't do much, either, right? Because there is a way to smile and change not only your mood, but make your body healthy and young, and change your life for the better!
1) Smile just by twisting the ends of your mouth up.
That doesn't get you anywhere, I bet. But that's a start.
2) Smile with your eyes and mouth.
That's better. Your smile will make somebody feel good, maybe.
Add a little giggle, and they will either think you're crazy or like you for it.
3) If you really want to smile so it will make yourself feel good as well - you have to smile from your heart and your lungs.
Don't worry, if you are ending the smile with a quiet sound like ummm.
4) The next step will make you feel still better.
Smile from your solar plexus.
This has an added benefit of making your solar plexus healthier, and active.
5) The next step is to smile right down from your stomach.
When you do this, make sure to breathe deeply and pull your stomach muscles in as you smile.
6) The next step - yes, there are more steps! - you should smile from your knees.
Again, just pull your knees in - as you pull your stomach in. At the same time you use your lungs, heart and solar plexus.
You'll see that by then, you are smililng with your whole body. You won't forget to smile with your eyes and mouth at the same time. It will happen anyway.
That's how you will get the true benefit of smiling.
How about giving a smile to others? Should we forget that?
Don't worry. They'll notice your smile.
Only, this time, you'll feel good, too. Very, very good!
I love you! yoko
