We Bought a Zoo

I love animals and I loveee this movie :) Cameron Crow did a good job! First I read the book last year, Edwin my good friend, who's  made Postcard From The Zoo (one of Edwin's best movie, I'll post it too later) recommended me about We Bought a Zoo book. Since we're both love animals and zoo and we were talking about it :) I love the book! One of my fave book I've ever read :)

And a year after that, I was very happy to hear that Cameron Crow (one of my fave director for my fave movies like Almost Famous, Singles, Jerry McGuire) was directing this book into a movie. We Bought a Zoo was about Benjamin that has lost his wife. In a bid to start his life over, he purchases a large house that has a zoo. This is welcome news for his daughter, but his son is not happy about it. The zoo is need of renovation and Benjamin sets about the work with the head keeper, Kelly, and the rest of the zoo staff. But, the zoo soon runs into financial trouble. The staff must get the zoo back to it's former glory, pass a zoo inspection, and get it back open to the public.
Formerly known as Dartmoor Wildlife Park, a zoological garden located near the village of Sparkwell, on the south-west edge of Dartmoor, in the county of Devon in the South West of England. It had been opened in 1968 by Ellis Daw on farmland bought by his family in 1948. During a time of crisis, it was forced to close to the public on April 23, 2006. In August of that year, it was bought by the Mee family consisting of mother Amelia and brothers Ben and Duncan Mee, who reopened the zoo to the public in July 2007 after a major refurbishment. In the Hollywood adaptation of We Bought A Zoo, Dartmoor Zoological Park becomes, "Rosemoor Wildlife Park" set in California.

Cameron Crowe never fails to deliver heart warming drama comedies that make you laugh and cry.  Matt Damon and all the cast were great.

Good soundtrack by Jonsi and he put Sigur Ros' Hoppipolla and Bon Iver's Holocene too, two of my favorite songs :)

If you and your family are wanting to go see a movie, go and see We Bought A Zoo. It is the perfect film to tug at your heart strings, leave you with tears in your eyes, and hope in your heart :)
